We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at ASSYSTEM. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for undertaking cost planning and estimating across all aspects of construction for major projects.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with project team members to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Develop a deep understanding of technical documents and absorb relevant information.
- Assess labor, plant, and material requirements to ensure project feasibility.
- Produce quantities for estimates in line with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Identify opportunities for value generation and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Conduct benchmarking exercises to inform project cost management.
- Monitor project costs against estimates to provide feedback and support data-driven decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of cost planning and estimating processes and techniques.
- Proficiency in cost analysis, cost modeling, and benchmarking processes and techniques.
- Qualifications in cost planning, estimating, and/or quantity surveying.
- Experience in civil engineering, M&E projects, and/or building projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cost planning and estimating in a project environment.
- Understanding of project management, planning, risk assessments, and management processes.
- Excellent communication, analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
- Professional membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent body.
- Educated to degree level.
