BEMS Project Engineer

Alarm Communications Limited is a prominent organization specializing in fire safety, commercial security, and building management systems. Compensation Package

Base Salary: £46,000 - £54,000, depending on experience

Role Responsibilities

The BEMS Project Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and servicing existing BEMS systems, diagnosing and resolving faults, and ensuring timely delivery of projects to exceed client expectations.
  • Providing clients with recommendations for system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring a high level of service for both new and existing customers.
  • Engaging in proactive fieldwork, focusing on quality service delivery and fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Conducting site visits to troubleshoot and repair control systems, including wiring, control panels, graphical user interfaces, and BMS controllers.
  • Executing service and maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
  • Implementing modifications and installations of control panels as needed.
  • Managing small-scale projects or remedial works.
  • Delivering detailed reports to clients regarding work performed and outlining any further actions required.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s quality standards and other regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • A strong engineering background with at least 5 years of experience as a BEMS Service Engineer.
  • Proficient knowledge of TREND hardware, networks, or Tridium control platforms.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications (C & G level 2 or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills for control system issues.
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical systems.
  • A collaborative spirit with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • The capacity to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A valid driving license.
