We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to join our Homelessness team at Tameside Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the Homelessness team, including maintaining accurate records and data.
- Ensure effective communication with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
- Develop and maintain effective administrative systems and procedures.
- Provide a reception service to all callers, offering relevant advice and support as necessary.
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Record, extract, and collate statistical data as required.
- Previous experience as a Business Support Officer, preferably in a Homelessness team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills, with experience of using internal council IT systems.
- Excellent telephone manner.
