Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our renowned Hands, Burns, Plastics, and Head and Neck unit. This unique role offers two distinct rotations, providing invaluable experience in both Hand Therapy and the specialized field of Burns/Plastics/Head and Neck care.

Your Impact

As a Rotational Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in maximizing patient recovery and function. You will work closely with patients across various stages of their rehabilitation journey, providing comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.

Hand Therapy Rotation:

  • Assess, diagnose, and formulate hand therapy treatment plans for both inpatients and outpatients referred from Consultants and General Practitioners.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative hand therapy techniques.

Burns/Plastics/Head and Neck Rotation:

  • Provide comprehensive therapy services to both adult and pediatric patients in the Burns and Plastics unit, including the Critical Care Unit and Enhanced Recovery Area.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to specific patient needs, addressing functional limitations and promoting optimal recovery.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
