Join our team at Foodkind, a not-for-profit organisation that collects surplus food from supermarket partners to share with the public. We have a rewarding opportunity for a Deputy Food Retail Manager to support and provide cover for our Food Hub Manager.

This role is ideal for someone with food retail experience, who can demonstrate a strong understanding of food safety and allergy issues. You will be responsible for ensuring our hub is run safely and securely for volunteers and the public, and that our high EHO rating is maintained.

As a Deputy Food Retail Manager, you will be responsible for guiding and training volunteers of all backgrounds, managing the rota, and maintaining an inclusive and welcoming approach in our charitable community.

You will also be responsible for overseeing management processes, assisting with social media posts, and advising the governing board on any updates or concerns about the CIC.

We are looking for someone who is IT literate, able to perform basic database and social media tasks, and is prepared to work over the seasonal period.
