Job Summary:Brightpoint Community College is seeking qualified individuals to teach nursing courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester, engaging students in the learning process, clinical supervision of students, course and curriculum development, student advising, and accurate maintenance of student files. The faculty member will also participate in nursing program development and evaluation, college activities and committees, and represent the college at community events and professional opportunities.Responsibilities:
- Teach nursing courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats
- Develop and implement course and curriculum materials
- Supervise students in clinical settings
- Advise students on academic and career goals
- Participate in nursing program development and evaluation
- Represent the college at community events and professional opportunities
- Master's Degree in Nursing required by the start date
- Several years of experience in medical surgical and/or pediatric nursing
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to teach a combination of day, evening, weekend, hybrid, and/or online classes
- Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check
- Experience teaching at the college level
- Ability to use instructional technology
- Knowledge of Virginia BON regulation and ACEN accreditation criteria
