Adjunct Faculty Position in College of Natural Sciences

Virginia State University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in the College of Natural Sciences. The successful candidate will teach courses in biology, chemistry, psychology, and nursing, and provide regular office hours to meet student needs and promote student success.
Responsibilities- Teach up to 9 credit hours per academic semester in-person, online via synchronous or asynchronous modalities
- Provide regular office hours to meet student needs and promote student success
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning
- Assess and align student outcomes within courses or programs
- Master's degree in the teaching field or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the teaching field
- Proficiency to teach courses in biology, chemistry, psychology, and nursing
- Ability to work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population
- Proficiency and willingness to adapt to new and emerging pedagogies in the classroom
- Ph.D. in the teaching field
- Prior teaching experience in a higher education environment
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in using instructional technologies and learning management systems
