The Charity Shop Manager will be responsible for the daily operation of the RSPCA Preston & District branch charity shop, ensuring compliance with branch and society policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales and profit targets, managing a team of staff and volunteers, and promoting the work of the RSPCA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Ensure the smooth daily operation of the shop, including managing stock, cash handling, and security procedures.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to meet the shop's targets and standards.
- Financial Management: Manage the shop's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer service are maintained, promoting a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Marketing and Promotion: Promote the shop and its products, including window displays, promotional activities, and social media engagement.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments and security procedures.
- Reporting and Administration: Complete regular reports and administration tasks, including stock management, sales analysis, and staff performance monitoring.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a charity shop environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in retail management or a related field.
Working Hours: 21 hours per week, including weekend availability.
Salary: £12.34 per hour.
