Job Title: National Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled National Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Skilled Careers, a leading development business specialising in residential schemes across the UK. Our company is dedicated to building new homes of Traditional Build and Timber Frame construction.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a National Quality Assurance Manager, overseeing sites nationally and driving quality excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Quality Management Policies
    • Develop and implement Quality Management policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company best practices.
  • Quality Planning and Control
    • Develop quality plans for construction projects, defining quality criteria, inspection and testing protocols, and quality assurance checkpoints.
  • Quality Assurance and Control
    • Oversee the execution of quality control processes, monitoring workmanship, materials, and compliance with specifications.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management
    • Evaluate and select reliable vendors and suppliers of construction materials and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training and guidance to construction teams on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Quality Risk Management
    • Identify potential quality risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Inspections and Audits
    • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews of construction activities, processes, and deliverables.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Manage documentation related to quality assurance activities, including maintaining records of inspections, test results, and quality assurance reports.
  • Non-Conformity and Corrective Action
    • Investigate non-conformities, defects, and quality issues, and lead efforts to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
Requirements:
  • Extensive Quality Management Experience
    • Extensive experience operating in a Quality Management role, ideally with a Residential Developer or Main Contractor with a residential element.
  • Quality Management Planning and Enforcement
    • Ability to produce Quality Management Plans and enforce them.
