Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary leader for fleet downtime performance, collaborating with various teams and vendors to identify gaps and implement improvements.
- Develop models for asset downtime to inform operational planning.
- Oversee fleet financial performance, including leading the annual budgeting process and providing quarterly financial updates in partnership with the finance team.
- Analyze financial performance drivers and initiate projects to address identified challenges.
- Model total cost of ownership at the asset level.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the strategic vision for the fleet.
About the Team
The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team is essential to Amazon's ability to deliver efficiently. As a member of ATS, you will join a diverse group that plays a crucial role in our operational success. Utilizing various transport methods, including air, sea, and road, along with state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will contribute to optimizing Amazon's transportation operations.
The Fleet team within ATS manages a vast array of trailers and trucks, ensuring packages reach their destinations safely and reliably. This position is integral to maximizing fleet uptime through effective management of maintenance vendors.
Basic Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in program or project management.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in defining program requirements and utilizing data and metrics for improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvement initiatives based on data analysis.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, charts, complex formulas).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging multiple stakeholders at various organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in driving end-to-end project delivery and effectively communicating results to senior leadership.
- A Master's degree.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
