Project Accountant Opportunity

RM Recruit is collaborating with a Staffordshire-based Multi Academy Trust to recruit an interim Project Accountant. This role will focus on finance process improvement projects, supporting the Finance Director at a sizable trust with 20+ academies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a new Purchase Order process, integrating with Sage Intacct and training individual school teams.
  2. Collaborate with the Management Accounting team to create automated management reports and KPIs.
  3. Work with the Data team to design standard dashboards for flash reports on individual academies.
  4. Lead the project to create a consistent financial onboarding process for new schools.
  5. Develop and roll out a finance function SharePoint site for access to data and resources.
  6. Create internal process handbooks and train the finance function at all seniority levels.
  7. Lead a team of 4 staff members on various projects.

The successful candidate must be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) or due to achieve qualified status by the end of 2024. They should demonstrate finance project experience in complex business environments and be passionate about finance process improvements.

This role operates on a hybrid working model.
