About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with cerebral palsy and complex needs in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage and support young people to develop independence and take responsibility for their own lives.
  • Maintain a safe and homely environment, promoting a friendly culture and atmosphere.
  • Deal with challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Provide personal care and support as required.
  • Promote independence and well-being, ensuring the safety of service users.
  • Stay up-to-date with individual care plans, guidelines, and preferred methods of communication.
  • Support individuals with taxing behaviors, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Desirable experience working as an adult support worker in a similar setting.
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Adult Social Care.
  • A passion for supporting people living their lives.
  • A valid driver's license, as travel between sites may be required.
  • Age 18 or above.
