Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Risk Analyst to join our team at Next Employment. As an Insurance Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our risk-based monitoring plan underpinned by our Internal Control Framework (ICF).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in Delivering the Risk-Based Monitoring Plan: Collaborate with the Controls Manager to ensure the effective implementation of our risk-based monitoring plan, which is underpinned by our Internal Control Framework (ICF).
  • Maintain and Develop the DA Internal Control Framework (ICF) and Quality Assurance Framework (QA): Work alongside the Controls Manager to maintain and develop our DA Internal Control Framework (ICF) and Quality Assurance Framework (QA), ensuring they are aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Support in Regular Reviews of the ICF and QA Control Environment: Participate in regular reviews of our ICF and QA control environment to ensure that our Delegated Authority and Customer Oversight teams have appropriately designed and operationally effective controls to manage our Coverholder and DCA portfolio.
  • Oversight of Key Processes: Collaborate with the Controls Manager to provide oversight of key processes within our Delegated Authority and Customer Oversight teams, performing quality control checks and implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and report on the output of control reviews, including ratings, root cause analysis, impact, and changes required to mitigate risk crystallization, in line with our assurance framework.
  • Regulatory Environment Reviews: Support in regular reviews of the regulatory environment to ensure that our Delegated Authority and Customer Oversight frameworks are continuously evolved to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Monthly ICF and QA Trends and Analysis: Undertake and report on monthly trends and analysis of quality assurance and internal controls across Delegated Authority and Customer Oversight.
  • Workflow Process Monitoring: Monitor workflow processes and changes to ensure adherence to governance controls and implement changes as necessary.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in compliance, risk, or insurance operations, with a minimum of 6 months of experience. You will also have a legal or numeric degree and excellent analytical and communication skills.
