Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and Curriculum Development

We are seeking a compassionate and inclusive leader to join our team as Deputy Headteacher with curriculum responsibility at Selwyn Hall School.
As part of the Polaris community, we provide high-quality, inclusive education for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, FASD, and complex communication needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum that supports the learning needs of SEND students.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of pupils.
- Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external examinations.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school's policies, practices, and procedures in support of the school's values and vision.
- Work with others to secure coordinated outcomes for curriculum and pupil development.
- Collaborate with other leaders within the Polaris community to share best practices and ensure alignment with our ethos.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND.
- Experience of delivering a high-quality curriculum with a focus on supporting young people with SEND.
- A proactive, adaptable attitude, able to set up new systems and processes aligned with the school's values and ethos.
