About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team at Barclays Bank PLC. As a key member of our digital landscape, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions to complex business problems, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Develop solutions that balance technology risks against business delivery, driving consistency and excellence.
  • Partner with other functions and business areas to drive digital transformation and innovation.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to.
  • Advise and influence decision making within own area of expertise.
Requirements
  • Experience with Java, stakeholder management skills, and AWS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud capabilities, such as elasticity, serverless, and containerization.
  • Ability to design and develop solutions that meet business requirements and align with modern software engineering practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and persuade team members.
