Job Title: Tax Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Senior to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Tax Senior, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional tax services to our clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations, and leading a close-knit team of accountants.

About the Role:
  • Lead the service provision for a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, championing excellence and delivering high-quality results.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, proactively handling tax queries and providing expert advice.
  • Lead client meetings, ensuring effective communication and a deep understanding of client needs.
  • Support the managers with winning new business, identifying opportunities and developing strategies to secure new clients.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their careers.
  • Work closely with management to prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare tax advice for client reports, providing clear and concise information to support informed decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical research to support complex tax issues, ensuring the team has access to the latest knowledge and expertise.
  • Champion your own professional development, seeking out opportunities for growth and learning, and contributing to the team's success.
  • Support the wider team with ad-hoc duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to go above and beyond.

Requirements:
  • Part or fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CTA/ATT or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a tax-related role, within a UK accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations.
  • Experience reviewing the work of a junior team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in your work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
