About Us The Coach and Horses is a delightful, family-operated country pub situated just south of Birmingham. We take pride in offering delectable, locally-sourced dishes in a friendly and inviting environment. Our establishment features its own on-site microbrewery, providing a distinctive experience for both our team and guests. We are in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Sous Chef to become a part of our committed kitchen team. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in the daily management of kitchen operations
  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with our menu and daily specials
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the utmost standards of quality and safety
  • Assist in the planning and development of the menu
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Oversee and train kitchen staff as necessary
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a chef or cook in a comparable position
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Exceptional culinary skills with an emphasis on quality and presentation
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Passion for utilizing local and seasonal ingredients
