About the Role

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced midwife to lead our Healthy Lifestyles team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with colleagues to support families with complex maternal or fetal needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the stop smoking service to promote healthy lifestyles among our patients.
  • Develop and deliver contraception services to women and birthing people, ensuring they have access to comprehensive reproductive health care.
  • Provide training to staff members on key public health drivers, with a focus on maternity care.
  • Support women and birthing people in making informed choices about their health and wellbeing during pregnancy and beyond.

Person Specification

  • Registered midwife with relevant experience.
  • Experience and understanding of fetal medicine.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to initiate, evaluate, and sustain change.
  • Working knowledge of the Antenatal and Newborn Screening Programmes.
