About the Role:
Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team. As a Safety Case Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' nuclear projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety strategies to mitigate hazards and risks associated with nuclear projects.
- Conduct thorough safety assessments and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement safety protocols.
- Participate in Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard Operability (HAZOP) studies to identify potential safety risks.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, including technical reports and general reports.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams to ensure safety best practices are followed.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in a relevant field (e.g., nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering).
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Experience working with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Desirable: EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) experience and membership in a relevant engineering institute.
