Position Overview
The Cleaning Team is responsible for maintaining a hygienic and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring that a high level of cleanliness is upheld in accordance with National Cleaning Standards, infection control protocols, and health and safety regulations.
The individual in this role will collaborate with the broader Cleaning Team, delivering a cohesive and adaptable service. As such, there may be occasions where the individual is required to perform tasks in other areas of the Hotel Services Department based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the established standards of cleaning services by adhering to the correct procedures and schedules.
- Execute a range of cleaning tasks in accordance with the designated cleaning schedules for specific wards/areas/locations.
- Utilize mechanical cleaning equipment effectively.
- Restock disposables and consumables as necessary.
- Store cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and appropriately.
- Conduct specialized cleaning and one-off cleaning tasks as required by service demands.
- Assist with laundry responsibilities when needed.
- If applicable, perform ward-based duties, including:
- Catering responsibilities in collaboration with nursing staff to ensure service users receive suitable meals.
- Reheat food, check and document food temperatures, and serve meals.
- Ensure meals are presented attractively and served promptly, with appropriate cutlery and condiments provided.
- Prepare the dining area for service and clean it afterward.
- Record waste levels at the conclusion of service.
- Clean the regeneration trolley.
