Support Young People in Need

We are seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to join our team in Swansea, working with young people aged 16-25 who are experiencing homelessness. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing reliable advice and guidance, understanding trauma, and integrating trauma-informed practice into your work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting young people in a safe and secure environment
  • Working with individuals who have experienced homelessness
  • Understanding and addressing trauma
  • Providing advice and guidance
  • Following safeguarding and health & safety policies
  • Collaborating with other services through multi-agency working
Requirements:
  • Passion for helping others
  • Understanding of the causes of youth homelessness
  • Compassion, understanding, and resilience
  • Driver with a vehicle (desirable)
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to carry out a new DBS
  • Flexibility around shifts and assisting when needed

This is a project-based role, working in one location in the Swansea area. Support Workers and Support Assistants from other sectors are welcome to apply.
