Role Overview:

Leidos Innovations UK Limited is in search of a skilled Information Assurance Engineer to enhance our customer projects across various sectors, including Logistics, Civil, and National Security Defence and Intelligence.

We seek professionals who can seamlessly integrate into a high-performing team, ensuring that robust security measures are implemented effectively and discreetly for our clients. Your role will involve delivering well-managed assurance solutions for sensitive programs.

The initial focus will be on the P-ITSM project, which necessitates strong collaboration with third-party stakeholders and clients. This position offers a dynamic work environment with diverse daily tasks and flexible operational parameters, requiring adept scheduling and prioritization skills.

As we expand our customer base and project portfolio, further opportunities in information assurance will arise. You will be involved in developing common tools for tracking and reporting assurance actions, alongside creating NIST-compliant risk assessment methodologies that enhance quality and client trust.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the cyber lead on project outcomes and contributing to the career development of junior team members. The ideal candidate will also bolster the broader Leidos security framework, collaborating with a talented cyber team dedicated to delivering exceptional security solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in the IT systems engineering lifecycle
  • Knowledge of controlling processes in systems engineering (e.g., requirements management, configuration management, testing, and assurance)
  • Familiarity with various methodologies (waterfall, incremental, SAFE, DevOps)
  • Experience managing ITHC activities throughout the lifecycle
  • Solid understanding of Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability, and Safety (CIA+S) and practical application in risk management
  • Experience in obtaining and maintaining accreditation for secure systems
  • Continuous assurance experience for information security management systems (e.g., NIST, ISO)
  • Capability in developing and managing a Cyber Incident Response function
  • Experience in creating Security Awareness training
  • Proficiency in evaluating security requirements and maintaining security documentation

Technology Skills/Experience:

  • Understanding of network protection technologies (firewalls, mail gateways, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Protective Monitoring systems (SIEM/SOC)
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization technologies (SAML, LDAP, PKI)
  • Understanding of encryption protocols
  • Experience with penetration tests or IT Health Checks

Communication and Soft Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at developing reports for various audiences
  • Commercial awareness and project discipline

Candidate Essentials:

  • British nationality with no dual citizenship
  • Willingness to undergo necessary security clearances
  • Experience in delivering accredited security solutions in sensitive environments

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in both delivery and proposal settings
  • Familiarity with MOD AS environments

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess DV Clearance
  • Potential for additional personnel security clearances
