Senior Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Senior Support Worker to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs in Builth Wells.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the Manager and having joint responsibility for managing the team and the service. You will plan rotas, manage staff teams, ensure compliance within the service, and encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Plan rotas and manage staff teams.
  • Ensure compliance within the service.
  • Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensure the safety of the service users.
  • Follow care plans for each individual.
  • Take service users out into the community.
  • Participate in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.
Requirements
  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3.
  • Senior Support Worker Experience.
  • Must be resilient.
  • Drivers ESSENTIAL due to the nature of the role.
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
