Overview: As the Household Large and Complex Technical Claims Lead, you will oversee a dedicated team of Major & Complex Loss Consultants, as well as the Subsidence Team Leader and their handlers. Your role will involve managing a portfolio of high-value and intricate claims, ensuring they are processed swiftly, effectively, and in line with established procedures and service standards.
Your leadership will be crucial in providing an exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
In your capacity as the Household Large and Complex Technical Claims Lead, you will:
· Ensure that claims are managed efficiently and economically, adhering to established guidelines and reserving protocols.
· Foster a collaborative environment that enables your team to enhance their technical skills while delivering high-quality service tailored to customer needs.
· Provide direction, motivation, and support to your team members, organizing relevant training to optimize their capabilities.
· Facilitate the development of claims handlers from outside the Household Large Loss sector.
· Actively contribute to the management of claims within the Ageas Technical Claims Team.
· Ensure that customer interests are prioritized and effectively addressed.
· Handle complaints in accordance with current guidelines and regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Extensive technical knowledge and analytical abilities, with a strong background in household large loss claims.
· Proven experience in managing claims exceeding £500,000.
· Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
· Excellent communication skills, with a talent for building productive relationships.
· A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
· Ability to work autonomously, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
· Comprehensive understanding of claims cost management and service delivery, including recovery management and fraud investigation leadership.
