SENCO Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SENCO to join our team at a highly successful comprehensive school. As a SENCO, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the support and guidance they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of inclusive practices and provision for students with SEN
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure that students with SEN receive high-quality teaching and learning
  • Conduct training and lead INSET sessions to support staff in meeting the needs of students with SEN
  • Work in partnership with parents and carers to facilitate effective links between home and school
  • Contribute to self-evaluation and development planning to ensure that the school's provision for students with SEN is of the highest quality

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher with QTS
  • National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment
  • Successful teaching experience in a relevant subject area
  • Demonstrate a student-centered approach to teaching, including an appreciation of inclusive provision and practices
