This role is part of WTW's Portfolio Management team, which oversees over £130 billion in global assets. The initial focus of this position would be to support the team in building hedges for UK pension schemes' liabilities, creating cash-generating fixed-income mandates, and designing and implementing derivative portfolios.

The Role

  • Collaborate with senior members of the Portfolio Management Team to develop portfolios (including derivatives) that:
  • Hedge risks in UK pension scheme liabilities, generate cash flows to meet client requirements, increase investment returns, or hedge risks in other assets held.
  • Analyze UK pension scheme liabilities and understand/quantify the risks involved, including UK DB Pension Liability Driven Investment (LDI) work.
  • Draft papers recommending/justifying changes to client portfolios.
  • Develop knowledge of UK pension schemes, fixed-income assets, and derivative markets to work independently and present papers/ideas to clients and internally.
