About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Long Term Social Care team in Kingswood. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to vulnerable children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- You will work closely with families, children, and young people to identify and address their needs, providing support and guidance to ensure positive outcomes.
- You will be responsible for assessing and managing complex cases, including child protection and care proceedings.
- You will work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare and education services, to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting vulnerable children and families.
- You will provide mentoring and support to less experienced colleagues, and deputise for the Team Manager as required.
- You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a supportive and innovative environment.
Requirements
- You will be a qualified social worker with relevant registration and experience in child protection and support.
- You will have a good understanding of asset and strengths-based approaches to social work.
- You will be a problem-solver, confident in making important decisions, and passionate about working collaboratively with children, young people, and families.
- You will have the ability to provide mentoring support to less experienced colleagues and deputise for the Team Manager as required.
- You will have a current driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle insured for business use.
