Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify operational challenges and prepare designs for HVAC systems and HPT loops.
  • Address mechanical challenges associated with installations.
  • Enhance design reviews by incorporating practical insights, potentially through the development of a comprehensive database.
  • Provide assistance on various aspects of the construction scope as needed.
  • Develop expertise in EPR construction activities and leverage operational feedback for future projects.
  • Streamline HVAC preparation processes while ensuring adherence to technical and safety standards, aiming to minimize issues and reduce schedule delays and costs.
  • Review surveillance plans in line with project documentation and policies.
  • Oversee installation supervision to ensure compliance with UK regulations.
  • Track the status of technical documentation approvals and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate activity delivery and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Implement project policies, processes, and contracts to meet quality standards.
  • Support the conformity assessment process.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports.
  • Foster strong relationships with regulators and the supply chain.
  • Advise on technical requirements and serve as the technical decision-maker for projects and programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the preparation and execution of HVAC testing activities.
  • A strong technical interest in the construction or maintenance of industrial systems is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer tools is crucial, including handling large datasets in Excel and navigating CAD environments, including 3D modeling and viewing.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years in similar roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Capability to translate field experience into operational insights.
  • Experience in the nuclear sector is advantageous.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent English is required for writing technical documents and daily communications.
  • Knowledge of French is a plus.
