Senior Forensic Analyst

At Philip Morris International, we're revolutionizing our business to deliver a smoke-free future. As a Senior Analyst ITP Forensics, you'll play a crucial role in protecting our products and preventing illicit trade.
Key Responsibilities:- Authenticate PMI products to ensure their integrity and prevent counterfeiting.
- Conduct product analyses to generate intelligence on illicit products and support ITP strategies.
- Perform forensic evaluations of samples to identify potential illicit tobacco products.
- Organize and conduct onsite inspections of raided illegal factories to support authorities in the fight against illicit manufacturing.
- Represent the company in various events, including witness hearings and legal proceedings, as a subject matter expert in product authentication and forensics.
- Enhance profiling of illicit products to support ongoing investigations and provide product intelligence to internal and external partners.
- Verify the functionality of PMI's product security features and provide feedback to supervisors or personnel in charge.
- Support the Supplier Liaison Program by collecting information, gathering evidence, and materials as part of ongoing forensics activities.
- Contribute to protecting the consumer journey and product lifecycle by analyzing samples from manufacturing through distribution to sales and reverse logistics.
- Provide subject matter expertise for new products in PMI's portfolio, including launches and markets resulting from business agreements, mergers, or acquisitions.
- Support the fulfillment of PMI's regulatory or internal obligations included in Anti-Diversion programs by responding to external and internal partners' requests for technical expertise and product forensics.
- Deliver technical assistance to law enforcement authorities to build their capability in tackling illicit trade through Public-Private Partnerships.
- Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of ITP systems and supervise 3rd party support personnel.
- University degree in Technical Sciences or a related field.
- Strong experience in the tobacco industry or other consumer goods industry, preferably in product forensics at the anti-counterfeit/anti-illicit trade department or similar.
- Knowledge of technical examination techniques for products and forensic evaluation, including chemical and qualitative analysis methodologies and external laboratories' network.
- Knowledge of Smoke-Free Products and vaping products, including electronics, SFP consumables, and oral products category.
- Project Management skills, including international and cross-functional projects coordination and supervision.
- People Management skills, including supervision and daily coordination of external vendors and subcontractors/external inspectors.
