About the Role:

Voyage Care Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at our residential service, Deal. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the individuals we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Teach new life skills, such as cooking and cleaning, to promote independence
  • Encourage individuals to access their local communities, socialize, and participate in activities
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their physical and mental well-being

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Resilience, flexibility, and composure in approach
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
