About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Voyage Care in Deal. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Encourage and support individuals to access their local communities, socialise, and engage in activities
  • Teach new life skills, such as cooking and cleaning, to promote independence
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a supportive and inclusive environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds, and challenging behaviours
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Resilience, flexibility, and composure in your approach
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
