Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of monthly financial reporting processes, ensuring the effective utilization of team skills to produce precise and timely financial data and insights.
- Management of a small team, including two part-qualified finance professionals.
- Oversight of cost management, working closely with budget holders to ensure adherence to financial plans, challenge assumptions, and provide reports to senior management.
- Leadership of the annual budgeting cycle across various departments including Commercial, Operational, and Support functions.
- Enhancing stock and expenditure management practices within the commercial sector.
- Collaboration with the Finance Director to evaluate and critically assess spending across the organization, aiming to boost profitability.
- Accountability for the integrity of stock data within the ERP system, serving as the primary resource for all stock-related inquiries.
- Implementation of finance improvement initiatives and assisting non-financial teams in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proficient in Management Accounts, with a track record of engaging and collaborating with non-financial leaders.
- Experienced in leading small teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Demonstrated ability to introduce new processes and enhance control frameworks.
- Background in FMCG, Retail, or Wholesale sectors, or experience with clients in these industries (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, capable of influencing both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel, along with solid technical financial expertise.
- Competent in prioritizing tasks and managing relationships with senior management.
