About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resuscitation Officer to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Resuscitation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective resuscitation service across our Trust.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To act as an informed resource in resuscitation issues for all staff within the Trust
  • To contribute to the planning, organisation and implementation of an effective resuscitation service
  • To teach resuscitation skills in line with Trust protocols and Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines
  • To take part in clinical research and audit
  • To ensure a standardised approach to resuscitation and resuscitation training throughout the Trust, recognising the differing needs of Trust staff

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered General Nurse, ODP or Paramedic
  • Resuscitation Council (UK) ILS Instructor or Instructor Potential
  • Knowledge of current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Debriefing and bereavement skills
  • Able to prioritise and adapt to workload
