Job Summary:

This role is responsible for providing services associated with traffic marshalling, assisting in driving the front of house and Weighbridge image, and coordinating the traffic flow and loading requirements of the site Weighbridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording driver details, including driver induction, company, and load
  • Ensuring drivers have an in-date driver's swipe card and completing inductions as necessary
  • Coordinating with the client's Sundries Weighbridge for SDC loadings
  • Ensuring no long-stay drivers in the waiting area
  • Ensuring all drivers have specified PPE
  • Directing traffic during busy periods on the Sundries Weighbridge
  • Liaising with the Security Supervisor and providing holiday and sickness cover for all shifts
  • Assisting the site team with major incidents in line with emergency procedures and business continuity plans
  • Attending Toolbox Talks
  • Dealing with varied types of communication at all levels in a professional manner
  • Providing a professional, high-quality service to the company and client
  • Ensuring all necessary information is exchanged between the Loading Bay Supervisor and Security Supervisor during shift handovers
  • Being conversant with statutory compliance processes and procedures
  • Ensuring the company's Health & Safety policy is properly implemented and adhered to
  • Ensuring all EMCOR policies, procedures, and standards are in place and adhered to
  • Completing required paperwork to the required standard within company and client time schedules
  • Ensuring the EMCOR Code of Conduct is complied with
  • Attending appropriate training where necessary
  • Ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times
  • Managing the cleaning and upkeep of the Weighbridge and Security areas
  • Carrying out any reasonable other duties requested by management

Requirements:

  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work alone
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of internal and external interface
  • Calm, professional manner, but able to make firm and timely decisions
  • Proven organisation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
  • Experience in the use of hand-held radios
