About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead the financial operations of AtkinsClarke, a leading technology organisation based in the UK. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, and reporting across our three distinct businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement reliable financial systems and processes to support long-term growth and expansion.
    • Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reviews to ensure alignment with our company's vision.
    • Provide regular financial analysis and insights to the senior leadership team to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Reporting & Risk Management:
    • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Conduct regular financial reviews, making strategic recommendations to improve financial performance and drive growth.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high-quality work.
    • Lead the finance team in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), such as managing aged debtors, controlling costs, and meeting long-term financial goals.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Work closely with the senior management team, providing financial insights to support business decisions and drive strategic growth.
    • Balance risk and opportunities, ensuring that financial objectives are aligned with our company's vision and strategic plan.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar role, ideally within the technology or IT sector.
  • A deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulations in the UK.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while delivering strong financial results.
