Job Description

Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Outreach Tutor to join our team. As an Outreach Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in various subjects, focusing on the individual needs of each student.
  • Develop personalized learning plans to help students overcome educational barriers and achieve their academic goals.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and resources to engage and inspire students.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, building strong relationships with students and their families.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with schools, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's education.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, Science, or other core subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and creativity in your teaching methods.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
