Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Learning: Assist students with their learning, both individually and in small groups, to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment, ensuring students stay on task and follow school behavior policies.
  • Pastoral Care: Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them develop social skills and build positive relationships with peers and teachers.
  • Resource Management: Ensure all necessary resources are available and the classroom is well-presented, creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a classroom setting, preferably in a secondary school.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or training in education or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with special needs.
