Job Description

Ecolab, a leading global provider of solutions and services for the food safety, infection prevention, water and energy industries, is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio and Product Manager to lead a strategic portfolio including the recently acquired Bioquell equipment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Create and implement marketing plans to drive significant growth (double digit %) on $50M+ of the product portfolio.
  • Manage Innovation Projects: Utilize a phase-gate process to shepherd initiatives from concept ideation through commercialization.
  • Monitor Product Portfolio Health: Assess current portfolio/service offerings against key customer requirements and competitive offerings.
  • Partner with Sales: Drive differentiated programs that lead to new business gains, growth within existing accounts and retention of top accounts.
  • Develop Demand Generation Strategies: Create short and long-term plans for demand generation, on-going market research, customer needs assessment, and customer and sales history analysis.
  • Collaborate with Segment Marketing and Portfolio Teams: Develop new product/program/service offerings aligned with business and marketing segment strategies.
  • Provide Leadership and Marketing Support: Offer Ecolab sales force with leadership and marketing support, including sales tools, training content and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop Customer and Market Knowledge: Communicate market needs and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and Professional Experience: 5 years of professional experience or MBA in Marketing with 3 years of experience.
  • Fluent English Speaker: Proficient in English language.
  • Proficient with MS Office: Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Business-to-Business Marketing Experience: Experience in marketing and selling complex, high-value capital equipment within the Life Science Industry.
  • Scientific Degree or Experience: Scientific degree or experience of working in Life Science industries.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience in successfully marketing and selling complex, high-value capital equipment within the Life Science Industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Promotional Strategies: Proficiency in leveraging an array of promotional strategies including direct marketing, social media campaigns, account-based marketing, and other digital and traditional marketing channels to drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Interpersonal and Relationship Building Skills: Ability to relate to influential people and complex organizational structures.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership and Initiative: Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills; setting vision and strategy, planning, critical thinking, orchestrating cross-functionally, overseeing multiple project elements and proven track record of results.
