Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our team at WR Engineering, a leading recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising and assisting with on-site mechanical installation works, ensuring that all systems are installed, tested and commissioned to relevant British, ISO and client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and supervising on-site mechanical installation works
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Assisting fitters and other operatives with day-to-day site activities
  • Liaising with project managers and engineers on project aspects
  • Ensuring Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and recorded

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification, ideally to HND/HNC/C&G or equivalent level, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the utilities sector and/or M&E engineering environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Coded welding, steel fixing or similar training/qualifications
  • Experience of structural steelwork and steel product installation
  • Electrical awareness and training
  • Ability to work in heavy engineering environments
  • Experience within the UK water industry
