Lead Geotechnical Consultant

Advance TRS is pleased to collaborate with a reputable consultancy that is expanding its presence in London.

This firm boasts a robust portfolio of projects and is poised for significant growth. In light of this, they are seeking a Lead Geotechnical Consultant to enhance their team.

The primary focus of the role will be on rail-related projects, making it ideal for candidates with experience in Network Rail initiatives. However, individuals with a keen interest in transitioning to this sector will also be considered.

Initially, you will serve as the sole Geotechnical Consultant in the office, benefiting from the extensive support of their established team located in other regions of the UK.

This role presents a remarkable opportunity to assume considerable responsibility and contribute significantly to the development of the team in this location.

Required Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, preferably with a master's degree.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 4 years of geotechnical experience acquired in a consultancy environment.
  • Professional Status: Chartered or nearing chartered status.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in geotechnical design, including earthworks, soil and rock slopes, retaining structures, foundations, excavations, and ground improvement.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with various geotechnical software tools.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: £47,000 to £60,000, commensurate with experience.
