Position Overview

In this role, you will be an integral member of the assembly team, focusing on the construction and evaluation of specialized products.

Position Details

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Shifts: Rotating between 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
  • No weekend or night shifts required
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Annual Salary: £33,000
  • Shift Premium: 15%

Key Duties

  • Equipment Assembly: Assemble machinery in accordance with company protocols.
  • Component Installation: Install parts and modules following engineering schematics and technical specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members throughout the assembly and installation phases to ensure efficient operations.
  • Testing Procedures: Execute production tests in line with established protocols and accurately complete testing documentation.
  • Quality Control: Verify that all assembled components are suitable for their intended use and adhere to quality standards.
  • Safe Tool Operation: Utilize machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely to secure components.
  • Safety Compliance: Operate equipment in a safe manner, ensuring products meet quality specifications.
  • Work Documentation: Maintain records of all tasks performed for tracking and accountability.

Regarding qualifications, our client seeks candidates with an apprenticeship in a Mechanical Engineering field, equivalent to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3. An HNC/HND qualification with a Mechanical Engineering focus is also preferred. We welcome discussions with individuals who have started these qualifications but may need assistance to complete them.

Experience with pumps and wastewater product assemblies, along with knowledge of mechanical seals, is highly regarded. Candidates with substantial experience in PC pumps and wastewater products, particularly in a service context, will find this opportunity appealing.
