Job Summary

Home Instead is seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Professional to provide high-quality care and companionship to our clients in their own homes. As a Care Professional, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care services, including companionship, personal care, and household assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and conversation to clients, stimulating their minds and encouraging their interests.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining the client's dignity and respect.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and laundry, to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Organize and tidy cupboards, check food expiry dates, and assist with meal preparation and cooking.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social events, promoting their independence and social interaction.

Requirements

  • Ability to listen, communicate clearly, and build relationships with clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner.
  • Respect for people with different backgrounds and beliefs, and a commitment to non-discriminatory care practice.
  • Excellent timekeeping and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good hygiene practice, including personal hygiene and a smart appearance.
  • Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant body and Class 1 business insurance (if using own car for business purposes) or reliable transport.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Resident in the UK.
  • All Right to Work documents available.
  • No sponsorship available.
  • All benefits.
  • Care experience preferred.

Qualifications

No qualification required, but a passion for caring and a motivation to help achieve our ambitions is essential.
