Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Minsterley site. As a Logistics Warehouse Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the timely delivery of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations
- Support the delivery of all aspects of the P&I store and/or the Cold Store
- Deliver timely receipt of finished goods/raw materials
- Order picking/despatch
- Carry out all transactions related to stock movement
- Maintain a high level of accuracy of inventory in the stores
- Manual Handling and Equipment Operation
- Operate manual handling equipment and waste compactors/balers ensuring routine basic maintenance is carried out
- Operate and train on the relevant machinery i.e. FLT, PPT, and POPT
- Quality and Safety
- Ensure compliance with company standards, rules and procedures
- Challenging process and giving ideas to improve productivity and efficiencies, and reduce waste
- Comply with food safety requirements, effectively control CCPs and adhere to site quality procedures
- Communication and Teamwork
- Unload and deliver site cleaning and chemical products to the relevant department in a timely manner
- Carry out GMP monthly audits of the logistics recycle areas with the site quality team, close out any actions raised
- Technical Skills
- Operate complex IT systems
- Carry out any other duties that are within the employees skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
Requirements
- Qualifications and Experience
- FLT and High Reach or equivalent
- SAP/WMS or similar
- Experience in stock control
- Numerical competence
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
