Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Support Coordinator. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong administrative and organizational skills, as well as the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver individualized support plans for students with special educational needs
- Work closely with the inclusion team to promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students
- Manage timetables and provide personalized support to students
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of inclusive practices and policies within the school
Requirements
- At least 12 months of experience in secondary pupil support
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Strong rapport-building strategies
- Experience in managing reluctant learners
- Knowledge of SEMH or ASD principles and practices
- DBS clearance and update service
- Timetabling experience
- Understanding of EHCPs and experience in implementing individualized support plans
- Passion for improving academic and conduct-based outcomes
- Calm, kind, and approachable nature
