MacGregor Black is collaborating with a Reputable Food Production Company in search of a Quality Assurance Manager. This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and refine the Quality Management System and HACCP documentation while leading the Quality Assurance team, focusing on performance management, development, and team cohesion.
  • Conduct internal assessments, ensuring that corrective measures are taken to uphold high standards.
  • Evaluate data from Quality Assurance initiatives, addressing non-conformities with effective solutions.
  • Ensure that all product, packaging, and ingredient specifications are up-to-date and align with customer expectations.
  • Supervise and review production processes to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients regarding supplier assessments.
  • Work closely with New Product Development and Commercial teams during product and factory trials.
  • Engage in customer and external audits, representing the organization as necessary.

What are we looking for?

  • A degree in food science or a recognized Level 3 qualification in Food Safety or equivalent, along with HACCP certification for Food Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams within a dynamic food production environment.
  • Experience in auditing systems and processes against quality and regulatory benchmarks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a background in problem-solving and change management.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work autonomously, showing initiative.
