Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our Emotional Wellbeing Service, working with children in care and the systems that support them.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with clinical team managers, social care professionals, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective clinical pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality clinical psychology services to clients, including psychological assessments and interventions.
- Supervise and support the work of other psychologists and clinical team members.
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients, including in group settings.
- Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of clients' mental health problems.
- Undertake risk assessments and provide advice to other professionals and carers.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including mental health, clinical psychometrics, and therapeutic interventions.
- Training in the supervision of doctoral level trainee psychologists.
- Post-qualification training in a relevant area of specialized practice.
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and families.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable:
- Post-doctorate training in DBT, CBT, EMDR, or DDP.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
