As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently, maintaining the integrity of our vehicles, and adhering to all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks according to company procedures to ensure roadworthiness and promptly report any vehicle defects in accordance with company protocol.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of company vehicles, ensuring that freight is securely loaded onto the vehicle and not exceeding weight or capacity limits.
  • Customer Service: Communicate any customer complaints to the Transport team for resolution and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all current EU road transport regulations and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and driver hours.
  • Vehicle Presentation: Maintain the cleanliness and presentability of the vehicle, adhering to company standards.

Requirements

  • Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid HGV LGV Class 1 licence, a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card), and a Digital Tachograph card.
  • Driving Experience: Prior commercial driving experience and a clean driving record with no more than 6 points on your driving licence.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to report customer complaints and vehicle defects in line with company procedures and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
