About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Doctor in Community Paediatrics to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a key member of our Community Paediatric team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver general community and neurodisability clinics, including ADHD assessments and social communication assessments.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing patient records and communicating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including child development nurses, therapists, and clinical psychologists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans for patients.
  • Support the development of the Community Paediatric team, including mentoring and supervising junior staff members.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Doctor in Community Paediatrics who possesses the following qualities:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council and a licence to practice.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge, including experience in community paediatrics and neurodisability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the development of the Community Paediatric team.
