Your Role:

As a Production Coordinator, you will play a vital role in streamlining production workflows and supporting the Product Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development / Design Assistance:

  • Prepare and manage design and prototype samples, including tech sheets for sales representatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to process seasonal samples and prototype requests.
  • Assist in ordering prototype fabrics and trims, manage lab dip requests, and maintain the lab dip folder.
  • Support the Product Manager in liaising with factories regarding tech packs and design specifications.
  • Oversee the management of salesman samples from initial order through to showroom delivery, ensuring quality and timely dispatch.
  • Prepare and distribute development sheets for new accessories, following up as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control team and Design to establish pressing and packing requirements based on fabric types.
  • Gather care instructions from mills and relay this information to the technical team for bulk care label assignments.
  • Maintain the product bible and control charts for all developments and production processes.
  • Manage the line book, ensuring accuracy in style codes, names, sketches, colors, fabric weaves, and content.
  • Create seasonal merchandising boards, organizing sketches, style numbers, and colors by category.
  • Input essential data into the product bible, ensuring accuracy in codes, shipping terms, and weights.
  • Issue purchase orders for salesman samples as required.

Production Management:

  • Follow up on bulk deliveries, sample reports, and production cut dates with manufacturers, negotiating delivery timelines.
  • Address general production inquiries regarding fabrics and trims, providing solutions with guidance from the Product Manager.
  • Update the product bible and control charts with all relevant production details, including pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate any changes affecting purchase orders to the Product Manager and Head of Production.
  • Ensure accurate entry of supplier details for the Accounts department and update them on any changes.
  • Facilitate the arrival of salesman samples into the business.
  • Perform general administrative tasks within the department.
  • Maintain color standards, lab dip folders, and files for trims and fabrics.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the fashion sector.
  • A High School Diploma or higher is required.
