About the Role

This Manufacturing Engineer position is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company within the crushing and screening sector. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting efficient production processes within our factory, ensuring that work meets our internal quality and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Problem-Solving Skills: Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to identify and implement effective containment and root cause fixes for manufacturing issues.
  2. Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices on the shop floor to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. Contribute to new product launches, conduct design-for-manufacture reviews, and establish efficient processes. Develop and review lean manufacturing practices as needed for your assigned site. Support the integration of engineering change orders (ECO) and engineering change notices (ECN) into our business processes.
  3. Coordination: Coordinate and lead time studies and production layouts in collaboration with production teams.

What We Offer

You will receive a highly competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, the ability to work flexible working hours alongside an early Friday finish, a bonus opportunity, enhanced pension contributions, access to private healthcare, and 32 days annual leave.

Requirements

You should have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including major sub-component production and final assembly of machines. A strong background in lean manufacturing, six sigma, and 8D is also essential.
